In the excellent book The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea, The Chairman, a very wise and successful entrepreneur and business leader is coaching Joe, a new student and mentee. The Chairman leans toward Joe in order to assure being heard with absolute clarity.
With all the emphasis he can muster, The Chairman looks deep into the eyes of Joe and makes an extremely powerful, life-changing, life-liberating statement:
“Most of us have grown up seeing the world as a place of limitation rather than a place of inexhaustible treasures. A world of competition rather than one of co-creation.”
Never losing eye contact, The Chairman leans back in his chair, pauses for several seconds in order to maximize impact, and then says, “Well, it’s simply not true!”
In the greater scheme of things, our world and our universe is not a place of limitation. And neither are you!
Our world and our universe is full of inexhaustible treasures. And so are you!
A few of the millions of obvious examples include:
Our individual and collective potential has always been grossly underestimated... just as it is today. If you are alive and reasonably healthy today, it is virtually 100% guaranteed that your potential has been, and is grossly underestimated.
A world of limitation? No way. A world of inexhaustible treasures? Absolutely.
Your perspective is your reality. Appreciate, respect and acknowledge your world as a place of inexhaustible treasures... a world of co-creation... not of constant competition. That perspective... that reality will revolutionize your life!
